Finally, after some delays, baby Abby was born yesterday a few days past her due date but in good health. She weighed 8 lbs., 5.8 oz. and measured 20.25″. A big baby!

Today I turned 35, still with a head full of hair, a rarity for men in my lineage, and in good health. Life’s been good.

For the past few weeks the number 162 has been playing in my head a percussion melody, rythmic and fast. It’s the sound of life, the heartbeat of our unborn child.
